FAQ
Questions we get asked
How do I get my school listed on Careli?+
Getting listed is straightforward. Click Join Us, tell us about your school, and we'll be in touch to complete your profile, verify your accreditations and get you live on the platform. Most schools are up and running within a few days.
How is homestay verified and inspected?+
Every homestay on Careli is physically inspected by a qualified health and safety consultant before they are approved. We check fire safety, bedroom standards, welfare environment, internet connectivity and transport links. DBS checks are recorded and providers undergo annual renewal to maintain their certified status.
How does matching work for agents?+
Agents search the full directory of accredited UK language schools in real time, with live availability and verified compliance visible before any booking is made. Student-to-homestay matching considers dietary requirements, gender, age and programme type to find the best fit.
What happens if there is a safeguarding concern?+
Careli has dedicated safeguarding officers available to schools and homestay providers on the platform. Schools have a complete digital safeguarding record including incident logging and policy documentation. All concerns are handled with proper procedure in line with KCSIE 2025 and Working Together 2026.
Does safeguarding only protect the student?+
No — and this is important. Proper safeguarding protects everyone. It protects the student's welfare and safety. It protects the homestay provider from unfounded allegations and unclear expectations. And it protects the school's reputation and compliance standing. One incident handled badly can damage years of work. Careli's safeguarding infrastructure is built to protect all three parties.
Can I try Careli before committing to a subscription?+
Get in touch and we'll walk you through the platform personally. We want you to be completely confident before you commit. All subscriptions can be cancelled anytime.
How do homestay providers get paid?+
Homestay providers are paid by the language school directly, typically weekly or at the start of each placement. Payment rates vary by school and programme but providers on the Careli network typically earn between £150 and £250 per student per week.
What are founding partner rates?+
Founding partners are the first schools and agents to join Careli. They get our introductory launch pricing — locked in for life. As we grow and open to the wider market, pricing will increase. Founding partners will never pay more than their original rate.
